Important
Please lock all the exterior doors and windows when leaving the property and make sure any water source or toilets aren’t running.
House Rules and Information
- Driveway: Please drive slow and be cautious when entering and exiting the driveway. The best way to park in driveway is in reverse if you feel comfortable doing so.
- Garage: The garage is not for guest use and the door leading to the garage from the home is locked.
- AC and Heater: The thermostat to control the AC/Heater is located downstairs on the wall between the laundry room and stairs. Please check that all windows and doors are closed prior to using the AC/Heater.
- Please only adjust the temperature setting on the thermostat. DO NOT turn the AC on during winter as this may cause the outdoor compressor to break due to frozen parts suddenly being activated.
- To change the temperature on the Google Nest E Thermostat, simply touch the top and slide your finger left or right around the white plastic exterior ring of the thermostat.
- Light Switches: The switches in this home are either regular flip style or dimming. To operate the toggle switch dimmer switches first push the oval button to turn on the light then move the button up or down to the desired brightness. Some switches are in strange places but overall the only confusing switch is for the living room and is located in the hallway near the door to the garage. So, on the opposite side of the living room wall.
- Food: Please help yourself to any food, condiments or spices you may need in the fridge or cupboards.
- Kitchen Amenities: Dishwasher detergent, cleaning supplies and trash bags are located below the kitchen sink.
- Wash Machine and Dryer: Detergent and bounce sheets are in laundry room in the upper cabinet above the counter. Please leave the washing machine door open when not in use.
- Back Deck: Because the home is on a hill, the deck is high off the ground. Please don’t lean on the rails or leave children on the deck un attended. There are also folding chairs for guests use inside the dining room by the sliding glass door. They are stored here between guests to keep dry so please don’t put wet chairs back in house after use.
- Train Noise: Unfortunately the train track is in the valley below the home and can be heard when the horn is sounded. We apologize for this inconvenience however the entire valley and hillside is affected by the noise. To combat the sound, each room is equipped with a sound machine for guests use and there are ear plugs located in the master bedroom closet and in the kitchen cabinets below the microwave.
- Bathrooms: The towels for the bathrooms are located on the countertops and in the cabinets. We like to store them in the cabinets to ensure guests receive fresh towels with every stay. Please do not put wet/dirty towels back in cabinet after use.
AT DEPARTURE
Checkout is at 11:00 AM. We understand that checkout time comes quickly and if you need more time, please let us know and we can adjust out cleaning schedule.
Prior to departing, please:
1) Place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher (with detergent) and start the load. Please do not leave dishes coved with food in sink.
2) Place dirty towels in the washing machine (with detergent) and start the load. DO NOT strip any bedding, the beds can be left as is.
3) Take trash from kitchen bag to rolling trash can. You don’t need to empty bathroom trash cans unless smelly items are in them.
4) Don’t forget to sign out of all your TV apps.
5) Turn off lights and lock ALL the doors.
6) Set the thermostat to 70 Degrees.
